Basically toothpastes are used for cleaning the mouth, especially the teeth , but further findings proves that toothpaste can do a lot more than just its basic duty.
1. REMOVES STAINS
Food stains, lipstick stains or any kind of harsh stains on clothes, curtains, dining table cloths or any piece of cloth in the house can be removed effectively with some toothpaste. Just rub some toothpaste over the stain before brushing it hard and just like it whitens your teeth it will whiten out the stain as well. Don’t use whitening paste over colored clothes but normal paste will help. After brushing, you can put it in the washing machine.
2. MAKES YOUR SHOES SHINE LIKE NEW
Those harsh lines filled with dirt that make your shoes look bad will go away now. All you’ve got to do is apply some toothpaste over it and rub away with another cloth and your shoes will look brand new.
3. GETS YOUR SHOWER DOOR TO SHINE
The steam, water and dirt altogether makes your shower door dull. Use some toothpaste and a soft cloth to rub in the toothpaste onto the door and then you can use another cloth to clean off the toothpaste. Your door will be looking shining and neat after this.
4. JEWELRY CLEANER
All you need is a soft bristle brush and some toothpaste to get your jewelry to shine like new. You must be careful not to leave the toothpaste until it hardens. Just brush the toothpaste in and wash off with water before you use a cloth to cleanse the water and dry it neatly.
5. PURIFIES DRINKING CONTAINERS
Flasks and plastic water bottles used to store water often start to smell really bad if not cleaned. Don’t throw away such bottles if your dish washing soap isn’t helping. You can instead use a pinch of toothpaste, dissolve it in water in the bottle and shake it really well. Otherwise, just brush some toothpaste along the insides of the bottles and put it in the dishwasher.
6. REVIVES HEADLIGHTS
The harsh stones and dirt that the wind carries make your vehicle’s headlights dull due to the scratches since light penetration through these scratches is less effective. Put some toothpaste and brush it on the headlights and keep rubbing in a circular motion until the dirt is removed and the scratches are lightened. Now your headlights will work much better than before! Instead of a brush, use a polishing pad or a cloth here for best results.
7. HAND FRESHENER
Greasy substances and strong odor cannot be effectively removed with soaps and hand wash gels. So the next time you can’t get off that
strong smell of fish or onions off your hands, make sure that your hands smell fresh in a minute by using toothpaste instead.
8. NAIL HOLES FILLER
If you don’t like to see nail holes on your walls, use some toothpaste to fill the space. Unfortunately big nail holes cannot be fixed but this will work wonders for small nail holes. Just take a pinch of toothpaste on a finger and push into the hole and then wipe off the excess that is bulging out.
9. SILVER POLISHER
Silver tends to darken over the time very easily and this is why its maintenance is difficult. Now you can use a soft bristle brush and your
toothpaste to get rid of all the dirt and darkness of silver ornaments or anything. It will become shinier as before. Use a soft cloth after brushing and cleaning with water to dry it out neatly.
10. IRON CLEANER
I use to do this when i had a bad pressing iron.
Base of the iron gets rough and accumulates cloth residue and dirt apart from other things which makes it dirty to use. To remove this, use
some toothpaste and a cloth to rub the toothpaste on the iron base. Then use another cloth to tightly clean the iron while removing off
any toothpaste residue. Your iron will be neat and clean to keep using now!
11. REMOVE SCRATCHES ON DVDS
Use very little toothpaste here and rub it from the inside to the outside with the help of a cotton cloth or any soft cloth so that those small
scratches are gone on your precious DVDs. Make sure you don’t overdo it because you might just be worsening the issue in that way.
12. CLEANS THE SINK CLEAN
Sinks in the bathroom often get dirty and if you don’t have the toilet cleaner or any special tonic to do the cleaning you can totally use
toothpaste. This will keep your sink shining as well as clear odor from the drain pipe.
13. CLEANS THE FAUCETS AND CHROME MATERIALS
You can’t keep changing faucets and chrome materials in the washroom all the time but whenever they get dull and dirty what you can
do is rinse them with toothpaste and then clean with a cloth. The scratches will be less visible and the shine will be revived as well.
14. CLEANS MOBILE SCREENS
Just like any other glass screens, device screens often get a lot of scratches unless they are protected by screen guards and other materials.
Use some toothpaste to rub over the screen with a soft cloth and use another soft cloth to clean the surface to remove the toothpaste.
Your screen will look much better now.
15. GOGGLE REVITALIZE
Anti-fog goggles are definitely expensive because of the coating they provide and so here’s a cool, easy budget solution for goggles used while swimming or skiing. Just rub a pinch of toothpaste, not too much onto the goggles and rub in circular motions while taking care not
to scratch the lenses.
It is advisable to use plain toothpastes and not the ones with extra ingredients which make the toothpaste rugged especially when you’re using them to clean glass or jewels since you don’t want to create more scratches than avoid them.
16. CLEARS PIMPLES
Applying toothpaste on the face for 10 minutes and then wash off with clean water, could help keep the face free from certain microorganism and remove the dirt on the face which causes pimple and some other skin diseases.
